raina's first word

kellie has been working hard, along with tamara's help (our nanny), to teach raina to sign. she began with the word "more" and we had a bet going in which she had four weeks to get raina to learn her first word. i considered 4 weeks to be pretty tough.

well, today (march 6th, raina's 7 month mark), she showed the first real signs of having begun to learn to sign. watch the video below to see her trying real hard to pick up what her mom has been flashing in front of her face while feeding her for almost a month.

to "sign" this particular word, you basically bring your two hands together with index finger and thumbs touching each other.... in the video below, you can see raina just beginning to mirror the action as she tries to bring her two little hands together to make the sign....

its so amazing to watch....
