Raina's one week birthday

Today Raina is one week old! The past few days have been a whirlwind of activity. We have enjoyed lots of visitors and greatly appreciate all of the meals people have been bringing by. Thank you all!

Raina is an amazing baby, crying only when she is hungry, wet, or needing to be burped. She has taken to breastfeeding like a pro, which we are so thankful for. We had a home visit from a nurse on Wednesday and Raina has gained back 3 of the 5 ounces she lost in the hospital so we know she is eating well! I am healing nicely and getting my strength back. Shane has been busy keeping the house in order, taking care of meals and most importantly, simply basking in our little angle. The boys have adjusted beautifully and look forward to playing with Raina after school and reading books to her at bedtime. Ky reminded me the other day to ‘be careful coming down the stairs with Raina’... she is so lucky to have such amazing big brothers!
