We had a great Halloween this year! Saturday night we all went down to Hastings to hang with the Kricks. The kids got all dressed up in their costumes (the boys insisted on being “scary” this year but Raina made up for it with cuteness thanks to the costume my friend Heidi lent us) and we took them to the La Duke Mansion for an evening of haunted Halloween adventure! The evening included a guided theatrical walk through Sleepy Hallow, a candlelit tour of the cellar (which included a visit from a friendly ghost), a brief discussion with two elderly witches (who insisted they were nice witches despite Ky and El's obvious disappointment with that), and last but not least, a bonfire with s'mores!
On Halloween we enjoyed dinner at Nate and Kelli’s house (thanks guys!) and then we all headed back to our neighborhood to trick-or-treat together. Raina was a quick study; after the boys showed her the ropes, she was off and running gathering as many ‘nummies’ as she could! Now begins the process of getting the candy out of the house as quickly as possible before Mama eats it all!
Raina is adorable! Love it! She did bring the cuteness to the group of "scary."
