to the tee

the boys started tee ball last weekend, and i could not believe how much more engaged they were this time around.  they've never played tee ball before, but in terms of the sports they have played so far, they've been pretty disengaged (especially eliot who thought it was more fun to sit at half court during basketball and roll around on the floor  :)

age has shown to be a significant factor, as each new year has led to increased participation for both of them.  eliot was hitting the ball, and even chasing down grounders from 2nd base.  kyertin was a flipping maniac, as he actually began to wrestle teammates when someone else was close to a grounder that he was running after....   and he ran after every one. (no exceptions)  the coach actually had to teach him that he shouldn't be wrestling his own teammates in baseball.   :)

anyway, we had a great time watching the boys on their first day of tee ball.   if day number one was an indication of what's to come, its going to be a very interesting and eventful season for both of them!
