Eliot’s school has a standing invitation for families to come in and share about their family, their culture, or something they enjoy doing together. Eliot decided this spring that he wanted to introduce his friends to geocaching; something we do a lot as a family. Shane and I put together three special caches (filled with treasures that Eliot picked out) and hid them in the neighborhood around El’s school Friday morning. We joined El in class and he helped Shane and I explain to his friends what geocaching was and what we would be doing. Once outside we split into two groups, and after the children got a little lesson on how to read a GPS, the hunt was on! The kids had a blast hunting for hidden treasures and Eliot was so pleased to be able to teach his friends about something not even his teachers knew about!
chance of showers is the oborn family blog. stop by and check the weather from time to time....
