Raina is turning 1!

It's hard to believe but nearly a year has passed already. It truly seems like yesterday that Shane was dropping me off at the hospital (only to take 45 minutes to park the van). Raina has been nothing short of amazing since the day she was born. She is the healthiest, happiest, most joyful and exuberant little girl we could have imagined.

She keeps us all entertained with her blossoming, playful personality. She plays peek-a-boo and patty-cake and she cracks us up with her Elvis dance and sniff face. Her favorite activities are laughing at her brothers, carrying things around the house, and wrestling anyone and everyone with a cell phone in their hand.


She fills our home with beautiful babbling and gibberish; we are especially fond of her mamama and dadada albeit indiscriminate yet at this point. She waves hello and bye-bye and is just starting to imitate ‘hi’!

At 10 she started to walk and is now an old pro at it. She quickly transitioned from crawling and is now racing around the house trying to keep up with her brothers and sneak up the stairs when no one in watching.

She has two bottom teeth and will eat anything you put in front of her. She can sign ‘more’ and ‘milk’ but still prefers to bang on her tray and scream when we are not shoveling it in front of her fast enough. Just this weekend she learned how to spray milk/juice/water out of her mouth….Yea!

We look forward to her ladybug birthday celebration with family later this week!
