Spring projects in full swing

With the late winter we are running like mad to get yard projects underway. Last weekend we rented a sod cutter and started in on the expanded garden project.

We re-used the sod in the back yard. You can see in the sod picture that the lilac shrubs have been hacked....another gigantic project. Shout out and thank you to our neighbor Brad who did the heavy sawing. I will spare you the picture of the mound of branches that covers half of our back yard now...

This week Shane tackled the deck tear down...it was nearly completely rotted out. Our plan is to keep it simple and just have a mulch patio for now.  Oh yea and there in the background is the pile of lilac branches we get to contend with .... bonfire anyone?
