anna maria getaway

kellie and i took off to anna maria for a few days to catch some sun, spend time with mela and nena, and do some diving (SCUBA).  the trip was short, but we packed in enough R&R to feel rested by the time we left for home.

the home we stayed at was gorgeous, and had its own pool.  we ate all our meals at the house, and pretty much sat around for two days soaking in the sun and tropical refreshments.  we were invited by mela and nena to come down and join them, and we were extremely thankful for the invite.  sometimes the short trips are the best....

i put together a short video (~14 minutes long) of our dive off the coast of florida.  if you watch nothing else, make sure you skip to the last 2-3 minutes of the video where you'll see some amazing footage that we captured on our boat trip back to shore.  the long and short of it is that our captain was able to entice five dolphins into playfully chasing us as we tooled through the waterway!   it was amazing to watch as the dolphins were literally within arms reach off the back of our boat, and i was able to video tape them from just a foot or two from their noses.
